Has anyone any information about places to stay and camp that allow dogs. We are on our way in 2 months around Australia with our 2 dogs in tow. I have the 'life be in it' book on all of the caravan parks that take dogs but I am also after some information about other camp spots we can use. I realise we can't go to National Parks with them so if anyone has some suggestions or has done a trip like this before I would love to hear from them.
Thanks

we went up to Exmouth and found it very hard to find many parks that take dogs anymore. We had the latest book at that time and nearly 65% of parks no longer take dogs due to some owners just letting dogs roam and bark and most of the parks now take a large bond when you arrive. YOU ALSO HAVE TO REMEMBER National Parks have a no entry sign with regard to dogs. Hope this information helps you. Happy Holidays..........

You are better off than me. I don't even have the "Life be in it" book. Where did you get that, please?

We went to Kurth Kiln, just outside of Gembrook Victoria last weekend and it is great for dogs and horses. We too are trying to find a book about camping with dogs to find other areas. Has anyone had any luck?

I will be doing the 'Big One' next year with two dogs. I believe there are lots of caravan parks who accept well behaved dogs. N.R.M.A. has the guide. What are you experiences?

I have just completed a 16 month trip around Oz without animals. We decided when our faithful lab passed away that we wouldn't travel with a dog. Lots of people do and pay for kennels to look after them when they go to places like National Parks. There are lots of people who provide that service. You can ask at Information Centres.
