Traveling with a cat to New Zealand from USA

I am traveling to New Zealand in November, from the USA. As this may more than likely become a permanent move, I would like to bring my feline companion with me. I have had difficulty in finding the requirements necessary for her to complete this trip with me (ie. shots/certificates necessary prior to departure from the USA, and length/cost/procedures for quarantine once arrive in New Zealand. Also, if anyone could help with suggestions to ensure her comfort throughout the voyage. Thank you, Erik

Yikes! it's at least a 20 hour flight! i have NO idea on how to make your kitty more comfortable! Other than in her carry basket, TYING a cushion to the bottom, so it doesn't end up all smushed at the back where she can't get to it.
