We plan to drive across country to NY from CA this summer and would like to travel up into Canada. Are there any restrictions in taking dogs across the border? We will have 2 small dogs with us.

I'm no expert on cross-border pet restrictions, but I do know that travel from the US to Canada with dogs is quite common. We have a B&B on Vancouver Island, BC. We welcome guests with pets and have had a number of American guests who have brought their dogs. I found this page at www.canadacustoms.ca : http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/heasan/import/dogse.shtml It looks like it contains all the info you will need.
