I just got back from my Grand Bahama Vacation. My flight was scheduled to leave on Friday night. When the plane finally arrived late, we got on and noticed one of the engines wasn't working, though they told us we weren't leaving because we didn't have flight clearance. Eventually they told us to get off and that the flight was cancelled. Air Bahamas, the airline chartered by Grand Bahama Vacations, offered no compensation and no flight rescheduling. After 8 hours at the airport on Friday night, everyone was forced to find hotels and transportation that we had to pay for out of our own pockets. The next day I spent 6 hours on the phone, mostly waiting on hold, trying to reschedule a flight. The only thing they'd offer was a refund, with NO compensation for expenses incurred, or a flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Bahamas with a $50 pp bonus. Never mind the fact that we were stranded in Tampa and had no way to get to Ft. Lauderdale nor would Air Bahamas or Grand Bahama Vacations compensate our travel expenses. We finally bought tickets on Continental Airlines and flew out on Sunday. Upon returning, Bahamas Air once again failed and would not issue us our tickets. After an hour of stupefied looks, they had to hold the plane so that we could run onto it. Finally, we arrived in Miami because Air Bahamas had no flights to Tampa. There the same problem occurred again. While Air Bahamas was waiting on confirmation for my connecting flight, I missed my flight. They also refused to reschedule my boyfriend's flight. He had flown from D.C. to Tampa to do the Bahamas vacation. He missed his flight back to D.C. because Grand Bahama Vacations had rescheduled our flights to and from Freeport. Once back in the states, Air Bahamas refused to give him a flight back to D.C. even though they had caused him to miss the one he’d booked. Next, we spent 4 more hours arguing with Air Bahamas and Grand Bahamas vacations at Miami Airport and ended up, once again, paying more money for the mistakes made by Air Bahamas.
Finally I am home, two days late, having missed work and school with no compensation from Air Bahamas or Grand Bahama Vacations. The service I received from both companies was inadequate and illegal. The mistreatment by both companies was monumental and I will never purchase anything from either company again. If you have further questions, please feel free to e-mail me at eternallytranced@yahoo.com I write this only to inform so that no one else must endure the poor accommodations provided by Grand Bahama Vacations or Air Bahamas.

I am interested in a 5-7 night p[ackage from Pittsburgh, PA during the following dates: 3/28-4/6. There will be three people in my party for the seven days. My husband can only travel between 3/28-4/2 and would have to leave earlier than us. if you could book us together,(self, husband, two teenage daughters) I would also like an inclusive food plan. Thank you
