I wanted to take a vacation in the Philippines this coming April. I've heard of the place Boracay but the thing is I'm scared to go since people are telling me stories about how people just get abducted. is it safe for me to go to the Philippines? I need your advise.i've been wanting to go there for quite sometime now.

Hello to all the culture lovers out there! I am writing with a tip for those who enjoy learning about other cultures but perhaps find it difficult to make the time to get away. Why don’t you bring the culture to you? In my case I played the host “family” (though I live alone) to a Spanish girl doing an English course in Ireland (http://www.languagecourses.net/languages-studies-abroad-countrys/en/42/ireland.html) (my beautiful home country). I had learnt a little Spanish at school and loved it so it was a delight to be able to further my knowledge a little during the evenings with my guest. Of course, she was here on one of her school’s “cursos de ingles en extranjero (http://www.united-languages.com/)” to learn English but sometimes it was nice for a change, for her to teach me a little rather than the other way round. I learnt a lot about her culture, a lot about Spanish cooking and made a friend; in fact, I have booked into one of the hostels in Madrid (http://www.equity-point.com/) to spend a weekend with her shortly – will be great to have a local show me round! I really would recommend this experience to anyone – you can go about your daily life but also earn a little money and widen your horizons, not to mention make lots of new contacts for future weekends away!

Boracay is nice, but I would say Palawan is way better. You should check the place out.

Please do visit Philippines, It is a very great place to spend your vacation. The people are great and very hospitable, they will help you in many ways whether you meet someone in the streets or other places. Most Filipinos can speak and understand English very well.

You can also meet many beautiful and kind Filipinas and many other people. Boracay is great place, also you can visti palawan, bohol, cebu and many more. Just consult a travel agent there or directly in the Philippines and they will accommodate you.

Philippines is a very safe place, I assure you that they will take care of tourist safety and will never put them in harms way.
