Need Help for India Visit

We are 2 persons (my husband and I) attending to a weeding in Delhi from the 28th Feb to 4th March 2008. We were thinking of going 15 days in advance to enjoy India.
But we are thinking if it is possible to travel alone. We have traveled to Thailand last year on our own. But I read that india is difficult to travel on our own.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions for this. We have 15 days and interested in visiting Rajasthan.

ah.... we did it already. We travelled for 5 weeks without any tour guide in India (2 weeks in Rajashtan). It was just... you need to be patient with the train!! They are always late hahaha... If you need to be on time, take bus, but they honk almost all the time and have loud music. Maybe you would consider to bring earplugs.
There are only to groups of people after visiting India. Either you love it or hate it. Me and my husband? We belong to the first :)
