Arizona Info Please!!!!!!

We need info on great places to stay and cool things to do in this State. 3kids 8,2,2. Starting travels in Anahiem CA and ending in Phoenix. Want to Include Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Four Corner and Painted Dessert. Anyone out there know great kid places and fun kid things to do at these places? I am a college student and doing alot of reasearch on the painted dessert and the Petrifyed forest. Its for Geology and I will tell you that in the forest theres is this this great place to stay. Its a real cabin and its made out of petrfyed wood. Its very old! there is alot of history in the forest theres even fossils still in the wood/rock till this day. Only thing kids it might be hard. To really enjoy the Painted dessert you need to hike and really enjoy the scenery. It will also be hot or cold depending on when your going. Its not soso. Just some tips.
