Have a 3 and 4 year old. Have a BIG vacation budget, but don't spend money frivalously (will stay in a 5-star resort if we feel we are getting a good value). Don't like overly stuffy resorts, like ones with dress codes. Want to go some place with some character but that won't take us an entire day to get there from Seattle. Have focused in on Los Cabos, Mayan Riviera, Sanibel/Captiva in Florida. Everything else (Jamaica, Bermuda, Bahamas, etc.) just seems a little too far to go for kids this young. Also would consider non-beach destinations if the resort had a lot to offer. Seems many of the resorts don't have programs for under 4 year-olds. (I am about to go see where all the Club Med resorts are located.) Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
