I am a member of FTF and was wondering if you or other FTF members have recommendations on traveling to Arizona at the end of October with a 10.5 month old. Is she too young to take to the Grand Canyon? Is there a recommended hotel that is child-friendly? Recommended restaurants and/or activities? Although we will be based out of Scottsdale for a business conference, we are potentially interested in extending our trip and taking a drive up to the Grand Canyon for 2-3 days if we have confidence that we can see some of the sights and do some light hiking / walks with our 10.5 month old daughter. We hear that it shouldn't be missed, but wonder whether it will be worth it with the baby. We have purchased (per your suggestion in the May / June newsletter) a Tough Traveller baby backpack carrier. Comments / suggestions/referrals on go / no-go / accomodations / sites / activities / hikes would be most appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely, Chih-Lan Olson
