Is it me or has Aruba become a total party town? I have a timeshare out there and I’ve taken my family there for years. It used to be mostly families on vacation and our kids had tons of other kids to run around with. Now it’s not so. Is the tourism board soliciting the singles crowd more or what?

I thought I'd check your message since I haven't been to Aruba in years, and I was thinking of going back next summer. Now I'm thinking twice, however...I checked the websites of some hotels I used to frequent and all the pictures are of happy couples (no kids). Who knows? Anyway, it sounds like it might be time to switch out your timeshare weeks to a different location. My wife and I did with our timeshare years ago (or rather, we tried to...we found the new locale impossible with our schedule so we had to pay Timeshare Relief to take it off our hands). Might I suggest somewhere in Latin America, or maybe (if this isn't too obvious) Orlando for a family-oriented atmosphere?

As a family travel agency we still do send our fair share of families to Aruba.
Mostly families who are a bit hurricane shy during the summer season. That said, flights and not a huge assortment of family all inclusive resorts make destinations like Cancun, The Riviera Maya and the Domincan Republic more affordable and attractive to families.
