My wife and I took our two sons on a trip to the beach over the long weekend. Our oldest is 2.5 and our youngest will be 1 this month. We had a great time. We planned ahead and made sure that the hotel we stayed at was child friendly then we ordered supplies ahead of time and had them delivered to our hotel before we got there (awaypacks.com). We were all set to go when we got there.
The kids loved the beach! Our oldest raced after the receding tide and ran from it when it came in and our youngest was happy sitting on mommy's lap and watching the action. Sun block was a must and it was a little chilly at times, but we had a great time.
I think planning ahead really takes the stress away so we were able to enjoy our trip. We have some great memories and pictures to hold on to!
