hello. I just got married a few weeks ago. My husband and I would like to go away for a honey moon somewhere we can drive to that's not too far. (We're in NYC). I am French and don't know too much about the US. I would like to go to Vermont but tell me, how is it there? Is March/April a good time to go there? can i find nice guest ranches for a reaonable price? Maybe there is something nicer to see that's even closer...I don't know. Help!

I have been to Mount Washington in the White Mountains area in New Hampshire. It is chilly in the spring. My opinion is that June is a better time. Beautiful country and lots to see. Lake Champlain is in Vermont and is chilly in the spring also, but it is a pretty lake. I went on a short sailboat charter ride called the Whistling Man Schooner. Again I think summer is a better time.
