Seasons greetings from your old friend at Rasi Sayam in Bangkok! With Thailand's economy in "deep doo-doo" businesses like mine are the few bright spots. A basket that was $100 pre-collapse now comes to only $60. The tourists love it!
The whole country is on sale. Five star hotels for $100, Arrow Shirts $15, noodles at 40c. Living here, I really should think in baht, but it's much more fun to think in dollars! Traffic has also improved. With construction halted, businesses closing, less gala dinners and massive weddings, there are far less cars on the road. Even the pollution is down.
