Hi,
I am taking a very expensive vacation to Walt Disney World for 2 weeks, after a period of no vacation for 10 years....thus, this vacation has been long awaited and safed for. Naturally, I would hate to cancel it, but in lieu of the recent heightened terror alert I am concerned about security at the actual Walt Disney resorts...I hear lots of information concerning increased security in the park themselves...but what about the resorts??? For instance, at a bare minimum, are they checking guest luggage who are checking in??? Does anybody know?? Please advise asap, as I am due to leave in less than 2 weeks and must decide whether or not to cancel my trip, much to my and my daughter's chagrin.

Unfortunately, we live in a time of ongoing heightened security and we have had, and will continue to have stringent security measures at all our sites. The safety of our
Guests and Cast Members is our top priority. We coordinate closely and regularly with local, state and federal law enforcement officials and are prepared to take
appropriate steps based on changing circumstances.
