Don't miss to visit neighbouring Bulgaria..my family spent 4 marvellous days there, at a very old town, good wine ;)
people are warm, place is quiet, perfect for kids! lots of places nearby that are worth seeing, but the road is bad..

BTW it's much cheaper than in Greece, so if you plan for go for the games - might be better to stay in Bulgaria, and fly to Athens....
