Qs? Paris with four young kids?

We have four young kids (from 2-6 y/o) and hope to visit Paris for two weeks in April/May. Does anyone have experience with finding family-friendly accomodations? Places that are "must sees"? Advice on what NOT to do?

In spite of our plans for two weeks in Paris, we are operating on a limited budget. We have lots of metro experience and have heard the public transportation in Paris is great. Any other budget ideas?

Warning! From experience, the Paris subways are not stroller friendly. Lots of stairs to hoof the stroller up and down. We know from experience from a trip over Thanksgiving 2001 with our 1 y/o at the time. Recommend the Eiffel Tower and the old castle foundation in the basement of the Louvre.
