I was just checking in on your site and found your piece on "traveling Again" very helpful. I have forwarded it to a few of my clients. People are truly afraid to fly.
Our business has suffered terribly in the past few weeks, as everyone's has. This is a storm that I don't think many can weather. However, I am trying. A new direction is needed now. The airlines have destroyed themselves and the rest of the industry. By the time the woman I work with gets through refunding her commissions from flights that have been canceled, and trips that will never be
taken, I don't know if she will be able to keep her door open. And, I am hearing the same from several of the smaller agencies here in Long Island.
I've decided to start specializing in Italy and France and try to fine tune a small group of properties they may be off the beaten path. When I visited Italy this past summer I came across a few interesting finds. Once the country starts to get up and go, I will put more into it. For now, I am taking a slow pace.
Keep up your helpful words. People will start to listen and travel again once our country starts to make decisive moves that make us feel more secure.
