The Los Angeles Times ran this letter in its travel section on May 25, 2002. This gentleman believes that children have no place on cruise ships or airplanes.

Los Angeles Times Sunday March 24, 2002
I have been continually annoyed by parents who must have their
children with them even at adult venues, such as gambling casinos,
adult-type resorts, cruise ships, Broadway shows and airplanes.
I am not criticizing children, who are only doing what children
do, but those inconsiderate parents who do not have a clue when to
leave their children at home.
I am sure many adults, in addition to me, are refraining from
visiting adult venues and are traveling only when necessary.
