single parents needed

Hello. I'm a student in Travel and Tourism, and have to write a report about the problems single parents are facing within the tourism market. Can't find any info on the net, and I don't have a clue what problems single parents have when they want to go on holiday. I'm sure there must be loads... Can anyone help? Many thanks!

Think we must be studying the same subject (at CSU?) because I have to do a similar exercise and having bugger trying to find academic information.

As it happens I am a single mum and do travel both with and without my children. Unfortunately I have to use secondary information, so cannot really use myself as a typical single mother (I own my own business, am studying for a degree and love holidays and don't let lack of time get in the way too much!!)

Anyway, if you want to ask me anything, feel free. If you have found any further information on the net please let me know. Am about to send e-mail to lecturer asking if she can point me in right direction!

Diana, I don't know your deadline, but we ran into that same problem. There has been NO research done on this topic.

You are in luck, though. My mother and I are just about to put start a survey on this very topic. If you need something more expediantly, but outdated, my mother has some statistics from when she did her CTC (certified travel consultant) degree on this topic.
