Teachers with two kids under 7 looking for ideas on nonresort destinations in Mexico in July. We can stay a month and are looking for possible homestay or kid friendly small B&B -authentic Mexico culture with some beach and ruins.

To get a better idea on places to see & stay, try the Loco Gringo site. Lots in their archives to get to know the eastern coast, though the accomodations were somewhat out of our price range. We stayed in hotels, etc that ranged (low season) between 150 to 450 pesos per night-approx. 15 to 50 $ american. Best wishes in your explore, I also have family menbers that frequent the western side at Puerto Escondido at privately owned villas for a month at a time for 400 $ per month!
