I've been to the Royal Hideaway twice in the past 6 months...once for pleasure and once for business. It is by far the best "all inclusive", upscale resort I have ever been to. I've been to many upscale resort...Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic and they cannot compare to the Royal Hideaway. The rooms are very nice, the food is truly gourmet (they have 5 restaurants - Italian, Thai, Mexican, Continental cuisine and a restaurant by beach that serves lunch). If you want more information, feel free to write.

My huspand and I are considering staying at the royal hideway for a special romantic week.
My question is:
What do you know about the "Royal View Rooms"?
Are they all ocean view, or are some blocked by the other buildings?

I want to take my parents to Royal Hideaway. My parents are 68 and 78 years old. Is this an appropiate place for them? My father has lots of problems walking. Are there many stair steps?

My fiance and I am interested in going to the RH next summer for our honeymoon next summer. I was wondering if there are tours through the hotel to visit the ruins or take a boat to Cozumel, or visit Cancun? Please let me know if these are reasonable if known or if they are better to "book" through Apple Vacations. Also did you book your trip through Apple? How did you like the service?
Thanks

Do you have to get dressed up for breakfast/lunch at the restaurants? Is it hard to set up diving or trips to see other sights? Thanks
