Anybody been to the Windjammer Landing in St Lucia? We have three kids, boys, from 8 months to six years old and would be interested in hearing comments before we take the plunge.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I've been on St. Lucia en stayed in the Windjammer Landing resort. I would be sorry for you if you didn't go there. Everybody should go there. It's good for kids but people who travelled up there for their rest do not suffer from the noise children make during playing. Windjammer Landing is a very nice resort to stay. It's the people who make the resort the best on the island.

Hi Portia!
We went to Windjammer Landing three years ago and had the best overall Carribean vacation we have ever had. Not only is the island absolutely beautiful, the resort is marvelous. We had one child at the time and I was pregnant with our second. The child care program, which has since been greatly expanded, was for older children, but nannies were available for $5.00 per hour. We were able to get the same nanny every time by making arrangements immediately upon arrival. Ask around for who the "best" nannies are.
The accomodations were great. We stayed in a one bedroom villa which was very roomy with a great patio. Very private. With three kids you'd probably want a two bedroom villa with a pull out in the living room.
The restaurants were all very good. We did go into town a couple of times for meals at other places, but found it rather expensive when cab fare was calculated into the equation.
If you go, definately try to get to the open air market in the main city to stock up on fabulous fruits and veggies you can enjoy in your villa.
As for excursions, we loved the jungle tour and the sailing trip to the other end of the island. The trip to the plantation was okay (food was excellent) but a bit slow paced.
We went to Atlantis in the Bahamas this year and I have already started my thoughts on a trip back to St. Lucia next year. Please let us know if you go and if the resort is still as lovely as it was when we were there.
