Aruba has long been our favorite Caribbean island, but this past March was our first trip there with a small child. It was quite a wonderful experience and we will go back again and again. We stayed at the Allegro on Palm Beach but did not go all-inclusive. A Kid's Club and daily breakfast buffet was included in the room rate under the European plan. Totally child-friendly resort and island. Good childcare. We had no complaints and highly recommend Aruba as a great destination for families. Aruba is a good plan for us since the food and water is always safe, the weather is pretty much guaranteed, the locals are great, and there is little crime. The tourist makeup is pretty quiet and relaxed. No sign of college kids and beer funneling on the beach during Spring Break. The waters are clear and blue and on Palm Beach there is no surf. We went 3 months ago and our little girl is still talking about it. She will say, "I have a great idea! Let's go on an airplane to Awooba! Right now!" We wish. Our complete trip report is at the following address and if you have any questions, feel free to write.
