Anyone have an experience at the Franklyn D. Resort in Jamaica? We have a 3.5 year old and 1 year old and are thinking about going there. Thanks!

We've been to FDR as it is known twice in 2 years. We absolutely loved it. We went when my son was 4 & 5 and also took along a teenager... age 15. This is one of the best resorts we have ever been too. Our nanny exerience was wonderful. My son really became attached and actually both were crying the last time when we had to leave. We travel quite often as a family 2-3 times a year all over the world and whenever I bring up the subject and ask where everyone wants to go the answer is always Jamaica and FDR!

The staff is friendly and helpful and alot of fun. Jamaicans are a warm people and naturally love children. I can't say enough about this resort. Most people we've met there keep coming back. Check it out...

We went several years ago when our son was 17months,
with another family who had a 2 1/2 year old and
6 month old. We were a little disappointed. The
beach there is very small, not terribly nice for
the Carribean. Our nanny was not so great -- didn't
really engage our son very much. Our friends'
nanny was quite good. Our son was at a difficult
age -- separation anxiety still -- and he seemed
happiest watching his favorite video over and over
in the kid's club. Your child is older and may be
better off. We did Club Med in Dominican Republic
when he was 3 1/2 and he had a great time, plus
the beach was beatutiful, food great, etc.
