traveling to Mexico with my dog

I will be flying non-stop to Mexico for the US at the end of Dec. and returning to the US in mid Feb. My golden will be going with me...I think I have all the important information but has anyone any recent experience flying from us to mexico and back...will be flying into Cancun...

I going to take my dogs to Mexico also. However, do you realize the temperatures in an airplane cargo hold are way below zero?(-30F) Hopefully the pet is small enough to fit under your seat.I sure wouldn't expose my pet to be exposed to that for any length of time. I am taking a boat by the way.Good luck -please respond
