I have held back for 8 years from getting another pet after losing my Great Dane to bloat. I was heart broken and felt responsible because I travel often and left him at home.
I travel more now and stay for up to two or three months in France and Martinique on a sail boat. I dream about having another furry companion. Is it possible? How much stress is it on the animal? I am thinking about getting a lab or retreiver. Do larger dogs travel well? Would a puppy adapt better than an older dog?
This is a major decision in my life! Please give me all the pros and cons!
How easy is it to take a medium sized dog from the US to France (Bordeaux) via Air France. I travel pack and forth 4 or 5 times per year and once in the winter I travel to Martinique (France)in the French West Indies.
